CHICAGO, July 1, 2002

ADNS is pleased to announce that The AtlanticRoot Network (ARNI) has picked ADNS to provide domain registry services for its top-level domains BIZ, COM2, ETC, NOT and ONLINE. ADNS will take over registry operations today, July 1, 2002 at 00:01 UTC.

ARNI will be the first registry to participate in the Inclusive Namespace Registry System (INRS). INRS is a shared registry system that connects registrars (the domain name registration retailers), registries (the organizations that have responsibility for a top-level domain, like .BIZ or .USA) and domain name registrants together in one network. INRS will simplify domain registration in the inclusive namespace, providing yet another benefit to those who want to switch away from the ICANN/US Government root network

ARNI is the holder of the original .BIZ top level domain. In 2000, ICANN chose to create a duplicate version of .BIZ which is now listed in the ICANN controlled root server network, but the original and authentic .BIZ is still in operation and is doing well.

ADNS CEO John Palmer said Monday that ADNS customers will be transferred to the new system in the next six weeks or so.  "We will be inaugurating a whole new suite of web-based tools to make domain registration and management easier".

ADNS (www.adns.net) owns and operates the top-level domains AMERICA, EARTH, USA and Z and is part of the Inclusive Namespace. Contact John Palmer, jp@adns.net, 312-560-3934.
